枯れてなお（Even after withering）

8月、二泊三日の旅行から帰ると

​プランターや植木鉢で育てていた花が
八割がた枯れたいた

​猛暑のなか、雨も降らなかったから
しょうがない

​枯れた花は切り落とし
生き残った花に水をやる

​そして写真を撮った

In August, when I returned from a three-day trip,
about 80% of the flowers I had grown in planters and flower pots had withered.

It was a scorching hot day, and there was no rain,
so it couldn’t be helped.

I cut off the withered flowers, watered the surviving flowers,
and took pictures.

Even withered, the flowers in the pots are still beautiful.
